3. Session format and length

Select your session format

Panel session for critical or technical issues
– 1 to 1.5 hours, up to 3 speakers, plus moderator’s introduction

Sprint session for technical issues only
– 30 minutes total, 15 to 20-minutes for presentation (one speaker) plus 15 to 20 minutes for audience questions

4. Session title (maximum 15 words)

Provide a meaningful title that helps participants clearly understand what topic the session will cover.

We welcome sessions delivered in either English or French, or ones that can be presented bilingually. Simultaneous interpretation will be available.

6. Brief Program Description (maximum 30 words)

This version of your presentation description is what will be used to promote your session to participants. It will be seen on the website and the mobile app and will draw attendees to your session.

7. Full description (maximum 350 words)

Write a more detailed description of your presentation. Convey the purpose of your presentation and anticipated outcomes, providing details that make clear what attendees can expect from the presentation. Connect your presentation to the conference theme and streams, including how your topic is relevant and makes a timely contribution to the field. Explain how your presentation delivers enriching opportunities for professional development. We are especially interested in sessions illustrating partnerships within and beyond the museum sector.

8. Learning objectives

Provide 3 learning objectives in bullet form that your session will address for attendees. Write carefully as this text in this form may be used in promotions for the conference. Maximum 15 words for each objective bullet. (click on the icon once for each objective you add)

You must include all proposed speakers involved if you selected a panel session. Make sure to include the name, job title, organization, and email of the speaker and only include individuals who have agreed in advance to participate in the session you propose. We are especially interested in sessions illustrating partnerships within and beyond the museum sector.

I understand all presenters must register for the conference.
I understand presenters must pay registration fees, but that the CMA offers special rates for CMA members. The CMA does not pay for presenter expenses, for example travel and hospitality.
I understand I must consult with the CMA if there is any potential change to my approved session or speakers.
If my session is approved, I am responsible for coordinating and sharing information with my session speakers.
